stage 1 sliping?

o i just put in my new stage 1 today and my cuz told me how do i want the clutch hard or soft so im pumping it to see what it feels like and he is adjusting it then he tightin it a lil more then i pumped the clutch and i heard a loud PoP! like somthing broke the clutch got alot more loose but still worked so we are thinking its nothing maybe somthing broke in from rust or somthing so we put the tires on and i pushed the clutch to the floor and tryed to put it in reverse and it grinding same with first and all other gears so we loosin the clutch cable and it goes into gear fine so i take it to the road and burn first fine but second sliped so we are like what the hell this is a brand spankin new clutch stage 1 and it slips wtf so we come back and he told me that maybe the throw out bearing we replaced messed up like maybe the little spring that hold it poped out on one side or the fork broke but would this make my clutch slip we did not torque the pressure plat on with a torque wrench but we used a wrench and put them on as tight as we could same thing i hope but i know somthings wrong if you tightin it to much it wont go in gear but if you loosin it to much it wont go in gear when it running i want to see what you guys thought any ideas has this happend to anyone before???? please help i suck at this!! lol
