Default Fuel pressure to high?

my car is running like poopy and sometimes throws a code 43(fuel supply) and the car dies at stop lights sometimes when i throw it in neutral. and i was wondering if it could be from my fpr being set to high. the fuel psi gauge reads 50-52 with the vacum off and car idling...
