Under Dash Wiring Question
I just dropped a b18a1 into my 91 honda crx hf...
I think I've got about everything in place, but was having problems getting it started. Looks like some rewiring was done for an alarm. I think I have removed all the alarm components and have the underdash wiring harness back to original, but am still having problems. First off, could someone identify if this orange looking connecter is part on the original wiring harness, or possibly another bit of rewiring for the alarm? I found this under the dash, behind the fuse box, and lotsa wires from the main harness connect to the plug, but the plug doesn't appear to connect to anything else?

Thanks for any information...

It looks like Jumper Connector C403 (20-ORN). If so, it's part of the main harness. It's not a plug. It's meant to splice a few of the circuits together in the main harness. Normally, it is just taped to the underdash harness near the fuse box.
Thank you, that is what I thought. It didn't look spliced in like the rest of the wires, and it WAS taped to the harness right behind the fuse box. I untaped it to take a closer look at what had been done to the wiring.
Another wire I had been messing with is one of the wires on the 4p ignition wiring plug, that plugs into the fusebox. I believe it is the black/white wire, well it was cut and the two ends were connected to, what looked like some sorta relay, and another two smaller wires also came off that relay that ran to the alarm box. WELL...I cut that relay out and removed it with the rest of the alarm components, and just spliced the black/white wire(back?) together. Is that correct? Or is there something else that runs between the connections? Sorry I don't have a picture of it at the moment. I'll get one tomorrow if you need further clarification.
Thanks again

Take the relay out, and connect the wires back together temporarily and test the ignition to see if it works. If it does, solder them back together and tape/shrink wrap them. Most of the wires in the car are colour coded, which makes diagnostics a little easier.
