Default NOOBIE to Acura and need help.

I am getting a salvaged 2002 RSX Type S and am looking for a few parts. I found a bunch of stuff online but don't know which parts are good and which are crap. I am looking for Fenders(or just a driver's side fender), a Hood, a Bumper, a Headlight (I need the driver's side one.), Left Fender Liner and possibly a passenger side air bag. Which ones are good, which ones are bad and does anyone have any lying around?

Are you looking for stock replacement parts or aftermarket stuff? If you are looking for stock replacement, stick with oem, as anything else is generally crap.

Well, it depends on the deal. I was considering aftermarket as it is cheaper. I was thinking about some fiberglass fenders, cf hood, eurethane front bumper (what do you guys think about Erebuni for the RSX) and aftermarket black dual halo headlights. Any good or bad dealers or brands out there?

Can you get them for under $500? I saw a pair on Ebay all scratched up and they still wanted like $504.

Erebuni =

You should be able to find used OEM sheetmetal for the same if not less than aftermarket. Keep in mind, cheap fiberglass parts will own you on the body shop side (poor fitment, etc), so unless you are a body man, I would go oem.

Oh yeah... Erebuni's still .

UGH, I can't wait until my trial period is over...lol, it is pretty odd going from Administrator of the Tiburon boards to noobie and only being able to post 5 times in 24 hours.

..anyway. I think I have decided to go JDM. I found Type R hood, fenders (missing the side markers but I can pick them up later) and bumper shipped for $675. I was also wondering what you guys thought about this deal?

Does anyone know that guy? I emailed him and he told me it was an OEM Acura hood which I don't exactly buy since as far as I know they don't offer one OEM or JDM....what do you think.

dont get the halo headlights...from my experiance with the ones i got for my civic they suck...my issues with them have ranged from bad seals (foggy lenses) to the halos going out. stay as close to oem as possible, saves you the hassle of buying the aftermarket now and then six months from now having to buy oem because the aftermarket ones are ****
