I have a 93' accord lx sedan 5spd. The piece that hold the cigarette lighter inplace on the dash broke off and i dont have it anymore. So what im thinking about doing is extend the wires down along the center console past the shifter and putting it were those cutouts are for switches.(i never had any just little caps in place of them so im guessing thats what they were.) Does anybody know were i can get the wires needed and has anybody done anything like this before. Any help or advice i can get is greatly appreciated. Thank you

 

Also were can i get a peice of plastic to cover up were the old lighter was?

 

The end result would look odd with a blank spot next to the seemingly not wide enough ashtray. They do sell that piece that broke off separate at the dealer.

yeah but thats the way it looks right now odd be cause i dont have that piece. but i finished making the hole for the cigarette lighter to go in. i just popped one of those inserts out and dremeled it to the right size and cut away all the plastic that was in the way. it looks pretty good actually. i just have to get the wires back there now and im done. hope this works. i could always just splice the wires and when i get the money buy the part and put another one back in the place of the original. that way i would have one for a radar detector and one for a cell phone.
