Default Injector cleanng setup?

im wondering what it would take hardware wise to make an injector cleaning setup.

obviously a fuel pump, injector manifold.

but what wiring stuff is needed? i think i would want it to be able to run continuously, look at spray pattern and mass fuel flow.

perhaps an enclosed area like a sanding booth. So its not spraying all over.

It takes the following things to get any meaningful results:

Pump
Regulator (preferably adjustable)
Guage (to measure the pressure)
Fuel rail (or a way to connect fuel to the injectors)
Test fluid (never use gasoline...very dangerous)
Current limiting resistors ( especially for the low Z injectors)
Way to pulse test the injectors (only doing a static test tells very little about the injector operation)
A way to accurately time the test.
Graduated cylinders (to measure the output)

Depending on what you are trying to achieve, this will get you close if you are careful.

Maybe a better bet is to send them to an injector shop and get them cleaned and tested. Our shop services them for $15 each, and supplies before & after test data.

If you do test them, be careful as any flammable fluid you use can be dangerous.

wow. thanks for the tips.

can you describe more on how to accomplish this?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Way to pulse test the injectors (only doing a static test tells very little about the injector operation)
</TD></TR></TABLE>

also, what kind of fluid? i figured gasoline would be bad...

youre price for injector cleaning is quite reasonable. RC engineering is just a few miles away, but they charge $25/.
