Default igniter help

i just installed a new igniter in my car and it wont start up...check the plugs and wiring, everything is good. engine is,type r block,obd1 b16head. my old igniter started to fail after i installed my msd.. could the msd have killed my new iginiter already..i also reinstalled my old igniter and it still wont start up..anyone know what could be wrong.

the msd **** killed my igniter and coil twice befor i took it out and now it works great

msd boxes suck imo
