i have a honda crx.. a 1990. its a automatci and has a d15b2 in it right now.. its carburated i want to change it to a d16a1.. i have the d16a1 and transmition.. i no i will have to add a clutch but will i have to change ecu's i know people are going to say save ur money and get a turbo well i got one.. i got a t/3 turbo and now i am looking to do a engine upgrade any help would be great thanks

The D16a1 is not a direct bolt in to the Crx chassis. You will need to fab up some mounts to get it in there. I would do a mini - me if I were you. (Put a vtec head on the d15b2 block). I would also do the manual transmission swap. Then I would turbo it.

 

if i put a vtec head on that engine does that still make it carburated.. or does thta change that to efi

well ill pass on that sale it thing.. i want to make this work.. its not fun unless u have to work at it.. i already have a manual trans now i am just need the info to finish what i want to do..

 

search dpfi to mpfi. search, search search, i cannot stress tha enough. a search will answer 9 out of 10 of your questions. putting a vtec head will not switch your car to mpfi. search and ye shall find
