will civic si greddy header fit del sol vtec? i emailed greddy info about the part and they responded saying that "it will not fit the application due to a difference in the location of the cat and the location of the o2 sensor bung." Is he right? i could have sworn that they had the same exhaust manifold.

 

Yes it will fit. The delsol has a b16 and the 99-00 civic si has a b16. Neither of them have and o2 in the front of the motor. The only way the flange for the converter would be different is if you are trying to install a jdm 4-1 with a 2.5in collector to a stock delsol exhaust system.

 

that is good to hear. its odd that the people at greddy would say it wont fit.

Greddy just responded to another email saying they have NO header that will fit a del sol:

Unfortunately we do not have any header that will fit that vehicle. I would recommend you look into a header from DC. Thanks for the email.

Ive also noticed while looking into the JG header that the 99-00 civic si and the del sol header have different part numbers. here is the site: http://www.lightningmotorsport....html

But if you look at the dc sports website the 4-2-1 ceramic header has the same part number for the two cars.

Anyone know what the deal is with this.

 

i also found that darkstar racing headers which can be found at mmrusa.com also have different part numbers for the two cars.
