How many of you out there think the oem optional lip kit on a 3.2 tl type s looks nice? I plan on getting one and lowering my car with some tein coilovers. I want some feedback because at first i was thinking of just lowering my car without the lip kit.

 

I think the OEM lip kit "IS" the only kit that looks good on the TL.

 

i have a WingsWest/Comptech kit and an OEM optional kit for my 03 TLS...if you care about fitment then get OEM and you would have no complaints...WingsWest/Comptech kit looks good but the front lip fitment is very bad (i went through two WingsWest/Comptech front lips and both fell off during driving)...and you mentioned you are going to lower with tein which is the same coilovers that i am using right now...if you plan to lower more than 2.5" then WingsWest/Comptech sideskirts could be a problem for you if you go through speed bumps a lot...my friend got a 02 TLS with an OEM optional kit dropped 3.5" and went through speed bumps everyday and never scrape...i personally like the OEM more because of the fitment & IMO looks more clean & thats y i just recently changed to OEM optional kit...

OEM definitely looks the best on the '99-'03 TL.

Here are some pictures of my car with the OEM kit custom molded to the bumpers. I couldn't stand the gaps.
