Default General question?

94 Accord sedan lx
Hard to start like the battery was almost dead.
Then after I drove it 30 minutes, then let sit for 10
And when I went back to start it it still seemed like the battery was almost dead.
Also my clock and radio reset like the batter is dead.

Is this a bad battery?, alternator, or other???

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Default Re: General question? (94Accord2c)

If it smells like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck; it's probably a dead battery (Maybe)

We've got several possibilities of what kind of duck you've got.

Defective Battery (Can't store or supply sufficient electrical power)
Bad Cable Connections (Can't pass on sufficient electrical power)
Defective Alternator ( Can't supply surplus electrical power to recharge Battery)
Defective Starter (Requires more electrical power than Battery or cables can supply)

We've got to start somewhere, so...... Grab a Volt meter (or someone who has one) and determine the battery voltage with the car turned off, AND the battery voltage with the engine running

And get back to us

P Quack !
