My B18C4 could do with some help!! 56K WARNING
ok just brought this yesterday .....

just a couple of queries about it....

does this mean i have a lsd???

the ball joint i beleive its called is knackered here, anyone know of what the actual name is and if the bolt thing with the thread on it is all one big part of the ball joint or not?

the end of driveshaft is meant to look like this but one of them looks like this .....

any idea what the thing with the 3 prongs on it is called and can i replace it or do i need a new driveshaft.....
thanks

yes when the tranny is STAMPed LSD on the casing, it means the tranny comes with lsd. unless someone took out the lsd and put a regular spool on it.. so hopefully the LSD is still in there.

Remove the axles from the differential and look through the hole. If you can see a pin inside the diff going across the center of the hole, it is an open differential. If you can see straight through to the other side with no obstructions, it is an LSD.

The last 3rd to last pic is a normal ball joint. Probably your smartest bet is to take it to a shop and get that one popped off and a new one pressed on.
The last 2 are just CV joint axles, they don't look right cause they've been pulled apart, you're not supposed to see inside like that. Easily replaced.
