Default Question: Avid Racing Traction Bars

Are these bars any good for drag racing? I found some for a decent deal, yes I've read...GET FULL RACE!!! I would, but I have no money plus I need to get some BFGs before I hit the track again.

Our traction bars a great. We have a couple of guys on the Pro 4 class using it. Including James GSC Motorsports Civic. Its made from 4130 lightweight chromoly and uses a 1/2" 3 picece rod ends. The only difference is that we use chromoly radius arm bars vs. aluminum. Hope this helps you make your decision.

How are the angles on the bars. I know Geoff mentioned a long time ago that the Z-10's were not ideal when he came out with the Full-Race bars. Has everyone copied the angle and placement they are using now to limit any binding from occuring?

Yes, thats what I was wondering. I plan on using them as daily on my car. I don't want to drive around on traction bars that could lead to injury, maybe even death. Please ge back to me about the design.

the design is a common one, really similar to other. i've installed a few of them on eg and ef chassis, work fine for daily driver or full race chassis.

great prices @ http://www.gscmotorsports.com

Does the avid traction bars allow stock placement for a eg radiator in crx? In other words to you have to tilt the radiator?
