this sound: when you place together your positive and negative terminals you get this cracking noise (without the sparks). i get that same noise when i hit 6000 RPM in every gear and a check engine light.

6000 RPMs - 1st gear - check engine light - reset
6000 RPMs - 2nd gear - check engine light - reset
6000 RPMs - 3rd gear - check engine light - reset and so on onto 5th

it happened after i wired my vtec lines. i'm getting a check engine light but i have no idea how to read it.

don't know how to check codes. my friend did it for me last time...
