Purchasing JG Pro Series Head, good condition?
Sup,
So i bent my valves on the b16,
im purchasing a fully built GSR JG pro series head.
Ported and Polished, w/ 3 angle valve job, JG Valves, springs, retainers, stock gsr cams.
so the head has 4,000 miles on it coming from another gsr turbo, although how can i see that its a good shape. my friend told me no matter what, if i take it to a shop or not they cant tell if its junk or gold.
he wants 1600 for the head. ill pay whatever it takes to get a good head, that i can rely on.
should i take it to a shop, can they do tests or is it all trail and error when i use the head?
thanks

also i am looking for a low compression built set up...what factors determine the compression of the head. or does compression just depend on pistons/rods? thanks
