As the title states, i am curious as to see if anyone has hydrolic hood props, like the ones tein just has recently released. Any info would be great thanks
I thought about doing something like this... mainly for the coolness factor. I imagine it would be pretty easy to grab some extra mounting hardware (and perhaps the strut itself, although used) from a few trunks/hatches/other car hoods and just fab something up. I can't imagine it being too hard.
Just might be hard to make it look clean OEM-like

Man, are you the cheapest SOB on the planet or what?
You can't buy the rear hatch struts for anything less then $15...and that's using factory hardware/mount points with the benefits of mass production and competing vendors.
Do the R&D, complete a one off design, have it manufactured yourself on a small scale and then handle all order fullfillment logistics. You think you can pull that off for $10? I think you'd be the one feeling ripped off.

Heh, I paid something like $50 bucks for both my rear hatch struts What kind of company would even blow money to make the hardware for hood struts?

they arent just "props"
they are shocks, than when u barely lift your hood, they pull it up the rest of the way.
not only that, but they mount on stock bolts, and look like they were OEM designed.
on top of that.. if you want the bling, you hafta pay for it.
