They'll rub.

Ask Neo79Si about the awesome 205/50-15 drag radials that Dunlop makes. Those will be perfect for a GS-R at the dragstrip.

I'm not sure about the 225/50R15 size, as I don't have experience with it.

I do know that a 205/50R15 will fit, and Dunlop makes their drag radial - the Inferno - in that size.

See this thread for more details, plenty of discussion going on in there...

The point is, I've had 10 drivers take them down the track, all have shown huge gains over street tires, and those who have tried other drag radials (BFG, M/T) had nothing but great things to say about the Dunlop's, and the time slips to back up their comments!!

The inferno's are available right now for $115/ea from Harlow Specialty tire (419.663.2419 - he ships UPS daily). Jim Harlow is a great guy, tell him that Matt from Dunlop sent you.

I would be happy to answer any other questions you might have!!

While working in our booth @ the Hot Import Nights show in Cleveland this weekend, I was talking to a guy with a 2000 Civic Si (14psi roots blower, some engine work, 12.2 on street tires) who had just gotten a set of Inferno's.

He had them a couple weeks, and was going to the track Sunday...he was supposed to email and let me know how it went but I haven't heard from him. On the street, he said that on his falken street tires...if he got on it at all in 2nd gear, it was all wheelspin. The other day he was messing around with a friend and jumped on it in 2nd gear (~40mph) and said the tires chirped and then hooked up. He was amazed.

If he gets back to me with some times from the track or other feedback, I'll let you know.
