pistons and rods arent part of the block, they are engine internals. so stock block is the same as stock sleeves.

Where is the engine internals in? What is the rods connected to? And where the all those located in? Last time i check it was all still in the block.

they are connected to the crank which is still not part of the block. unless the pisonts and rods are cast into the block they are not considered part of the "block"
if he said stock bottom end then that would be wrong but he didnt so hes not.

Well sleeves are pressed not cast into the block so everyone basicly has a stock block
He was just misleading is all and his sig even more so. His times are impressive for radials he just needs to phrase his setup a little better.

In that case then everyone is running a stock block. What do you consider a built block then? When you paint the block or something?

**** the block who cares really, it is what it is
to put it together i used, the pistons rings out of an ls motor w/150k on them and used main/ rod bearings, untuned on bald bfgs with a shitty 60' and a track that goes uphill

Great times thus far man, sorry I had to go and move almost 4 hours away so I can't dial your car in.
Only on here would people spend so much time trying to say a block included the pistons and rods. As I believe was mentioned, that would be a "shortblock." Stop bickering so much people and go wrench on something

i think people just don't like to be misled by someone who is trying to elevate a good achievement by throwing in all these "despites", such as his stock block, bad tune, bald tires, bad uphill track and so on
they are good times no matter how he did it.

i believe the aluminium is poured around the sleeves and then the die is removed around the sleeves. I am pretty sure honda doesnt pour the block and then bore it and press in the sleeve. I know for sure h22s arent dont this way. B series i dont know for sure.
stock block is a stock block...
stock shortblock is a stock shortblock...
there 2 differant things
i dont understand the dilemna here as i among most people i know use the same terminology
