Default MY H22A Build.. any advice would be great!

I have an H22a Built
mods:
JE 11.5:1
Eagle H-Beam rods
Stage 2 Crower Valve train
block was decked 2mil
ported head...
skunk2 intake
DC Header
cam gears
2 1/4 all the way back
cat and res

Issue is Spark knock... had on the dyno... took away timing to get rid of it.. so its only running 184 and 156tq

Do you think the issue is the header only having a 2" collector? cant get the exhugst out fast enough?

been told that a DTR Header would work very nicely to get rid of the spark knock... Where would i go or who would i talk to on here to purchase one.. searched for it on goodle but found know way of purchasing one! a little help here..

and to maybe get a thicker head gasket to bring the compression down a little..

What do you guys think?

Your #'s seem a bit low for your setup, I have a similar setup running 11:1 comp. but on a 89.5 bore.. i was using a dc sports header at the time and put down 200whp /165 tq.

if your looking to get a DTR header, PM: Six Sigma Racing on honda-tech or you can visit his site: http://www.dtr-fab.com

Tell Danny that I referred ya...

good luck! Jay

I'd say part of it is your 2.25" exhaust, also your dc header is causing problems, upgrade to a smsp or rmf header, and a 2.5" exhaust.

I hope you have some iron sleeves for your Forged Wisecos...

I disagree. My buddy here has 11:1 CR, Crower 2's, DC SS and 2.25" POS exhaust and he has 200whp 156wtq with no cam tuning and a conservative ignition map. The DC sucks after 7000 rpm but is okay below that. Ideally he could shell out for the SMSP or RMF header but he has bigger issues than that right now.

ok... new numbers 213hp and 153tq... got a custom 2 1/2 inch exhaust made... thats it... man.. and the other exhaust was a 2 1/4... not too much of a difference in size but it defenatly goes to show you that exhuast size does matter

still getting the header, ignition system and TB so higher numbers to come!

and this is all on pump 91 octane! thats all we have to go on in Nova Scotia!
