Default speakers dont work

my friend from work has an accord, and for about 1 month, the speakers havent worked, we looked at the fuse's its ok, he has an upgraded headunit, and power is running to it, but not through the speakers, he has an amp in the back the helps juice the speakers, we checked the fuse's on it too, nothing wrong, does any1 no how to fix this, he needs to hear music again, thank
p.s. we didnt install them and they didnt work, they just stopped working all the sudden, they worked for like a year and a half, thanks again

If the amp isnt turning on you may want to check the remote wire. If thats not the case take a look behind the HU and see if the spkr wires came loose or they might be touching each other. Check the rca's as well both on the amp and the deck... if all above checks out try another amp in there see if that works.
