Default lumps in my tires???

i have some nitto nt450s and they're about 20k miles old. there's bumps in these tires and make a LOUD *** howling sound (spent $220 changing front two wheel bearings thinking it was the problem, but it wasn't)... only after i changed them, did the mechanic tell me my tires were bad and had a lot of bumps on them... so i rotated them (left to right, right to left, so the bumps are on the outside now)... but now the car shakes, but the sound has died down some....

what causes these bumps?

my suspension consists of:
99 gsr
kyb agx struts (about 1.5-2 years old, a little newer than the tires)
h&r sport
skunk2 camber kit.

please help!

edit: they're on the base of the tires, not the sidewalls

Get those tires replaced ASAP. They may blow anytime out of nowhere. I have heard about those NT450's being notorious for developing those bubbles easily. Go get em replaced with something better.

damn, wouldn't they have a warranty or a recall or something if they're not safe? is it the user's fault?

edit: did a little searching, they said it could be because of improper balancing or bad struts... i didn't think kyb's were that bad.. .. are they?

No it's just the tires that suck or you hit something that caused it. No way it's the AGX. I have em and they rock.

When you say "bumps", do you mean the tread is scalloped, or that there are actual bubbles forming underneath the tread??

If the tread is simply worn irregularly, that could be due to vehicle alignment and the tire being worn that way over time.

If there are actual bubbles in the tread...that is an indication of an internal separation within the tire, and a failure is imminent.

Got pics??
