Default On the subject of keyless entry?

I was wondering where the best place was to buy actuators and whatnot? Should I get a real kit with all the crap or should I get one of those things off ebay with just the actuators and then hook it up with a remote start kit or something? Also, is it possible to get a 4-door kit (for my crx) and use one of the extra to open up the hatch? Thanks for the help. Here is what I mean by the ebay actuators:

yeah, just get the actuators and relays as cheap as you can, sometimes the package deals are the best way to go.

They're all the same thing. You just have to get creative hooking it up. Where you mount it, how you attach it to the lock rod is up to you, this is certainly not straight forward. You just have to figure it out.

It's only hard if you were the kid in kindergarden that kept trying to put the square block in the round hole.

Ah, that is good. Well, for the relays: I just get them and then go to the junkyard and grab a switch off of some car and hook it up and stick it somewhere in the car? What about remotes? Should I buy them seperately or get them with a remote start thingy? What about the trunk? Thanks, I like to figure it out before I do it usually.

Go to Circuit City or Best Buy. get Viper or DEi actuators and a keyless entry system. Both brands have lifetime warranties on the acutators, so, if the actuator dies, they will swap it with a new one.

You may need a trunk solenoid to pop the hatch due to the weight/tension.

Do you mean like this:

I dunno, seems to be like a regular door pop thing but will something like this hook up to a wireless remote or should I look for one specifically for wireless remotes?

The door lock actuators are like $20 each. I only used one on my rex because I never have any passengers, and if I do, I can reach over.

Solenoids are cheap, maybe $30 or less.

Keyless entry setups usually come with all needed relays, once again, about $60 or so.

Get it local and it'll be the same as eGay after shipping and all, and if ya talk nice to an insytaller while you're there, they may give ya some tips for putting it in...

Also, do you think LX actuators might work on the crx? I'm going to the junkyard pretty soon anyway...
