Default valve cover bolt!!!

Well just bought an accord with an h22 and well was going to go and pull the valve cover, long story. Looks as though one of the valve cover bolts are either stripped from being over tightened or, the bolt itself is broken. I can't get the nut off and the bolt won't just pull out.
What should I do? I have heard that it is very easy to over tighten these, I am I have always been careful, so never faced this problem.

thanks
JR

cut it off with a cut off wheel if you can't get it off

cut it off, drill out the part of the bolt that is left in the threads and rethread it, then get a new bolt and you're on your way

You might not have to re-tap. Once you set the nut off the stud, remove the valve cover and look to see if you can remove the stud using a wrench. It could just be threaded into the top of the head. Then you can buy replacement stud bolt and nut at the dealership.

cut it off, but try to cut it off so that you still have a chance to get the other side of the stud removed. maybe try to get some vice grips on it or something. drilling/rethreading should be a last option.
