Here is my updated status. Still no start. I have replaced the distributor, coil, main relay, and have made sure that all connectors and grounds are good, and I have come to the point to where I have no clue what is wrong. the fuel pressure is good, i know it has oil pressure, and Im am thinking that I has to have something wrong with the timing, because what else could it be? and if it is the timing, is there a way that I could have installed the cams wrong or the t belt? because I was sure I installed them correctly. Please anyone with help, My car has been down since december, and I need to get it running, its very depressing having a fully built t4 prelude sitting in the garage.
first things first..
1. have you checked for spark?
2. have you checked for fuel?
3. have you checked your cam timing? ( timing belt on right)

yes, they are, I have gone over those kind of things because usually it is a real simple mistake like that, but yes i did make sure they are right.
r u running a cat.? if so try diconnecting the cat from the header and try to start it with just the open header. this happened to me before. the cat sometime becomes so clogged up that it wont even start. and this happened to me right afer installing a new motor also. just a thought. good luck.

Answer the above questions along with this one...
Have you done a valve adjustment. I have known two people's (one being mine) that would not start after having any kind of head work done due to the valves not being adjusted. So I would make sure that they are even if you didn't touch it.

There IS spark
There IS fuel
I know the T belt is on right, i will just have to check the timing.
and the head is stock, never touched.
I am going to go see if i can find a timing light.

How are you going to check timing with a timing light if the motor isn't running? Put the crank at TDC and make sure your cams are at TDC that is all you need to do to make sure your timing is good before starting the car. Are you sure you have the distributor on right? The end of the intake cam is slotted for the distributor and if you put it on the opposite of how it goes then your firing order will be wrong.

crank sensor problem perhaps?
I'm having the same problems w/ my accord, if I pop start it it will start, once warmed up it will start up every time, but cold it will not start at ALL.
my cam/crank sensors are not reading right and I tried a known good disti with no change. gonna tear off the lower timing cover this weekend.

I actually didn't put those sensors back on because I heard that they were useless anywasy since I have an obd1 ecu, but maybe I am wrong.
And I am almost possitive the dizzy is in right bacuse the cam has an offset key that makes it impossible to put it in wrong.

... pal im in the same situation just built ma motor for turbo pistons, rods, headstuds, valvesprings. But my car and wont start its reading 50 50 50 50 on 4 cylinders, its leaking through top end valve staying open or something.
ok now for the progress 1 day later the mechanic kept firing it(turning the key) and has added some oil to the 4 cylinders(tiny bit-from spark plug end) and after a day of firing compression is now 110 70 70 80, i dunno im very confused too.
Is this normal for a newly built car not to start or do they fire up on first turn?

well after you prime it and such...... it should start right up... give it a couple minutes to get everything working and let it idle.... but yea... it shouldnt have any problems starting...

Double check your cam timing...if its off it could hold the valve open.

something similar happened to my built motor..since u have spark try using starting fluid with the fuel pump disconnected so u wont flood the plugs....i had my vehicle sitting for awhile and had the same thing happen...drained old fuel for new and it started just fine...yea try the starting fluid tho ...its nice to hear your motor come to life after all that work and time ieven if its only for a few seconds....good luck
