Default smashed exhaust by tire shop

i wont mention on here what very large and well known chain of tire and rim shop did this but here is the story...

Went to get some new tires on, they where real busy like usually so i went across the street to grab lunch. As i was walking back the car was in the shop and from across the street i noticed that my muffler was hanging down real low??? I could see this from a good 75 ft away. I walked up to the car and looked underneath it and noticed right away the 2 rubber brackets that the muffler hangs to are busted. The reason for this was there lift was resting on the exhaust piping starting right behind the muffler all the way to the header downpipe !!! So the car lifted 2 ft off the ground had all the cars weight pressing down on the exhaust piping They said to have it checked out and they would take care of the damages... So my questions are...

has this happened to anyone before and exactly what type of damage should i be looking for ???
What i had in mind...
Bend Piping/bend or cracked brackets

Even if the piping doesnt appear to be damaged could the system still be compromised ??

The piping is mandrel bend ss from an apexi ws exhaust !! I had to have the muffler replaced recently with a magnaflow because the axle back portion of my apexi was stolen

Personally, I wouldn't even bother verifying it. Just make them buy you a new exhaust setup.

Just say it looks like your exhaust is fubar, and you want them to pay for a new one.

Hell, do the work for them. Go to an exhaust shop, see how much it would cost for new mandrel bent tubing, a muffler, and hangers. Go nuts and throw a nice resonator on there too. Bring the estimate to the tire shop.
