When you buy a clutch for a d series engine, make sure you buy specifically your year.
I bought an oem clutch exedy clutch and received part number KHC-08.
However, since I have a 92-95, my part nmber was 08-022.
Although the clutch fits, the clutch disc is WAY thinner on the KHC-08 which is made for the 01-03 civics, than it is on the older 92-95.
So if you buy a clutch off ebay, be warned about this.
This clutch went out on my z6 in 10k miles, a pain in the *** if you ask me

Because the company said it fit, and if you wanted the real part number, the clutch was an extra 60.
Its how they play it, because they say that they order more of these clutches, which gives thema bigger discount.
regardless, just take heed, and if you look at buying a clutch, make sure you ask what part number you are getting before you buy it

Is this the one you're talking about? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW
If it is, I already bought one:

The clutch fits the car fine, just won't last as long as you would expect.
And why wouldn't I install the clutch, I needed the clutch, and needed a car to drive.
Stop hating on my post demeetree, I know you have a grudge on me for whatever reason.
If you want to settle it, I rather settle it off the topics, because it takes away from the content of the thread. You think you're all hot stuff, when in fact you are taking away from the post's POINT.
Just letting all the Ht'ers know that if they buy a clutch, ask the seller what model number they will receive.
This was specifically meant for the seller grip force on ebay

Hey thanks for the advice. A while ago I checked with Honda about a clutch for my '92 civic. In the '92 model year (d15b7) there was a production change and they have 2 different clutch parts for the same year. They asked for my VIN number to see what I needed. I was just getting a price on it but never bought it.

I'm pretty sure spline wise, the clutch was all the same and either one would have worked.
However, the clutch disc is what wear usually happens at.
No problem, happy to help, don't want people to go through what I had to do, even though I do clutch jobs in 4 hours, still a PITA
