Interior Recirculation
Hey everyone... I got a 96 accord lx... I'm trying to tackle the ac smell from my car finally. I bought a can of disinfectant and I want to put the ac on recirculate to clean out the mold in the evaporator, etc. Can someone direct me to the right place where the air is sucked from inside the car? Thanks for the help and I'll update eveyrone if the product is good or not.
it's right there next to your wiper, those black grill you can just spray disinfective agent , leave it working for 15min and raise it out with alot of water, dont worry the water will not get inside
what u are doing it is putting a bandaid in a big cut......if u want to properly clean it and make it last, u need to remove the evap, replace the foam insulators and clean the evap cases with soap and water and remove any debris that u find in there , once cleaned , spray some of that a/c smell good stuff ( fridgy-fresh ) in the evap, the cases, the insulators, put all back together ,,,Now for that you need to evac and recharge a/c system , doing it this way you will have a much longer non-reeking a/c system
^^^Exactly
Do this, and also use the heater on full hot for a couple minutes when your done running the A/C to aid against condensation building up inside the evap. case.
