What kinds of tests/machine work can be done to ensure the head is still good?
I cracked a piston and chipped the fourth cylinder in my gsr block, now im replacing it with a b18b1. Im using the gsr head in the lsvtec build but im not sure if any damage was done to the head when the piston chipped. My question is, what kind of tests/machining/ect. can i do/have a shop do in order to ensure that the head is in good condition when I put it back to use.

yup, also check to see how the valves seat, if its still level, etc
if it were me i would get it milled minimum 10 thousandths have the valves all re-ground and hell while yer doing it get the valve guides checked out im sure it would be just fine after all of this and i bet the work would be like 300 bucks goodluck
I was under the compression that milling the head raised the compression, and i dont want to do that?
Anyone know a good shop in the fremont area that i can take it too?
Sup phil. I heard steve aka deluzional had one of the first turbo kits you made?
