Default 181whp and still slow

dynoed at 181whp 127tq in a vx hatch
buddy club spec 3+ cams, valvetrain
skunk 2 IM, 4-1 header
Hondata s100
JDM GSR

went to the track, around 73 degrees out
2.28 60ft
14.299 @98mph

I was shifting at 8700, so what gives, i can't figure out why i'm not breaking 13's, I mean I ran a 14.2 when all i had was intake and exhaust!

Your mph looks pretty good for your setup, however, you 60' is where the problem is. For every tenth you reduce your 60', your ET will drop 2 tenths generally speaking. You just need more seat tiem or better tires.

get slicks, and your head ported and you will definatley be in the 13's maybe even 12's with a good header.

Don't feel too bad, I feel your pain.
ME = 202whp 91 DX hatch, 13.900@102 2.322 60'
I thought it was gonna be a sure that i was in mid 13's, i was wrong too. I dunno man, it's like there something in the air. I thought i would let you know so you don't feel bad, your right on par with me. Also the humidity matters, so don't count that out. I felt somewhat disappointed, except the guy next to me was a stock 05 Sti, he pulled a 2.0 60' and only managed a 14.525@94.74, so i kinda use other cars as a gauge to see if the weather or something beyond me is affecting performance. Good luck.

are you running full interior? try gutting your car next time. We just went out to the track the other day and my homie was hitting 14.4-14.5's all day, LS with jg301s in a gutted hatch. Weight plays a big factor.

The 60ft def does play a huge factor. Thats half the race is the launch so once you can get that alittle faster then you should def be in 13's man. GOOD LUCK

That's unusual. My friend's 2250lb CRX si went 107mph with the exact same whp.
