i want to make a mini me. i hav a crx si and a auto 92 sedan with a d16a vtec. im kinda sacared about pulling the whole motor out. so i want to know if i could pull the head of my sedan and put it in the crx, then put the d16a6 head on the sedan, will there be any issues with obd 1 and obdo on the sedan? and do i HAVE to wire up the crx for obd 1? help me out thanks in advance.

The head of the 92 will bolt up to the d16a6... If you wanna leave it obd0 you have to modify the mount points d16a6 distributor to fit the 92 (d16z6?!) head and have a switch or rpm activator to activate vtec..
IMO.. wire the mini me to obd1 and run a p28.. It works a lot better that way

 

You can put the a6 head on the z6 block, but IMO its not worth the time and effort. The a6 block had a oil jet in the block you have to remove for the z6 head. Well the Z6 block doesn't have the oil jet that it was made to have (the oil jet is in the head on the Z6 I believe) so basically you will have to put a oil jet in.

Anyways, basically just find another v-tec head for your rex.

 

thnaks 4 the replys. but its not a z6 ist a d16a vtec. a jdm motor. it says d16a on the block, and it has vtec. i think it was out of the domani or some jdm ccar
