jump start - alarm goes off?

jump start - alarm goes off?
Hey guys, i left my lights on and drained my battery, when i tried to jump my car as soon as i touched the cables to both cars my alarm started screaming, how can i get around this?

disconnect the alarm. once the system gets juice the alarm is going to go off. it happened to my car also. it's a defensive measure for your benefit.
