Eagle Rods with stock pistons?

Default Eagle Rods with stock pistons?

i am putting together my ls vtec turbo and i wanna know thnat since its boosted and the compression is low already on stock ls pistons ...would i be able to run with eagle rods and arp rod bolts with stock pistons...or are the stock pistons to weak????...(i am going to be trying to make it close to 350whp)

I wouldn't bother really, just wait till you get pistons, OEM rings lands are weak, though manny have made real nice pwer with stock motors.

Compression alone doesn't make for a good turbo piston. The stock ringlands on all honda B-series motors are weak and have a tendency to crack when you put a lot of power into them. Don't cheap out and spend the 400 bucks on new pistons.

I would think not how you going to hold the pin in without modifying the pistons to hold locks. The part you skip out on will fail in the end and cost you a lot more money in the end.

yea because the ringlands on my b16 were destroyed.....it was a stock block running 16psi...held up for some time though...but what would be a combination of some good rods and pistons for my ls vtec turbo setup

Eagle rods, Wiseco pistons.
