Sacramento Raceway now allow slicks on Wednesday nights (finally)
Sacramento Raceway is now allowing slicks on Wednesday nights now only in lane 1 and 2 (fun runs/loser lanes as people call it). Were half way. Now if they would allow it in eliminations that would be great. I'm not going to get into the politics of it...But all the new houses "supposetly complained about the noise of the track". My only problem is THE TRACK WAS THERE FIRST DEAL WITH IT...Just like when you buy a house by the airport. Duh is a airplane going to fly over and make noise...You bought a house by a race track quit your whining and deal with it or move the heck out. The track seems understaffed as of late. But I really don't know whats going on. But hey as long as I can race. I won't get into other peoples problems.
*Sorry about the ranting but just wanted to vent.

re: bolded section
Why not volunteer your time? Most tracks are more than appreciative of volunteers. As a bonus for anyone who does volunteer, you get a much deeper appreciation of what goes on at the track.

same thing happened to me. i never spoke with anyone, but there website at the time said slicks were allowed, and i'd imagine it's still the same. anyway, going through tech i got popped for the slicks. it was like a 45min drive for me, so i was pretty pissed.
defnitely a step in the right direction for sac, hopefully the trend continues.

Well I barely get to the track on time to even get a qualifying run sometimes. So work and racing is an issue.

Thank you. But I been b*tching to them and tony since 2004 when they decided not to allow slicks. In lane 9 can you imagine what disadvantage I had running a fwd against most of the other racer the had "supposed dot drag rag radial" on rwd car. The old guy was probably Lonnie and he's a good guy. Probably one of the nicer guy you'll meet at the track. But don't give him crap he'll get nasty lol.
