Okay, installed some 90-93 reman axles matched to my SK7 intermediate shaft. Test drove it and everything was fine. The next day, I go to make a slight U-turn and while accelerating, the damn drivers side inner CV joint blows! completely detaching itself and leaves me stranded. I'm thinking shitty axles but I want to be sure, nothing I did caused this. SK7 intermediate shafts use integra axles right?
Not sure about them matching with SK7 intermediate shaft...Is that off of a DA? Did you happen to buy the axles from Autozone? Even though they have lifetime warranties, I've had some bad experiences with them
While not one day, I've chewed up a set of Autozone reman axles within 5k. Just a couple autoxs, no drag racing and mild mannered street duty. I'll pay for some better quality from now on but some people never have a problem though.

I thought I'd write a little update for those who are searching. We removed the bad axle and found that it was the exact same length as the one we took out. My uncle brought it back to the remanufacturer who replaced it free. Installed the new one and haven't had any problems since.
I'm thinking it was just a defective reman. Nevertheless I'm somewhat afraid to make U turns now.

Yes, SK7 is a teg intermediate shaft. I have a 1st Gen XSi B16 PR3 swap, SK7 inter. shaft and ordered 91 integra axles. Actually, the axles we took out had the rubber rings installed so we just left the new ones on the axles. Hasn't been a problem.
well, im glad its working for you.
i just hear that when you use 90-93 axles on CRX hubs with a ZC intermediate shaft, you have to follow these instructions for it to fit properly and prevent binding. maybe with the b16 tranny, things are different.

just fyi....after swapping in my dohc zc, i went thru 6 reman. teg axles in 4 months; thought i had bigger problems. then i went to a new (non-rebuilt) axle and haven't heard a peep from either in the last 8 months.
