boosting stock LS
i have 180K original miles on it. The motor and tranny is in really good condition. If i boost 6psi on stock internals and if i do not rev high, how much risk is there into messing anything up. Or what are some internals that i should change in order for it to be somewhat reliable

each car is unique and each has its own history behind it..just because he has 180k miles on his and you have 180k miles on your doesnt mean its going to be the same....but do a compression test.etc..etc....and good luck

well said.
ive heard of people boosting their Ls (stock motor) with 10+ psi. Sure if you beat it alot its going to break down. They all say its about TUNING, remember to get it tune right and you should be fine. Im in the same boat with my 150k motor looking to boost after winter ends by next year

i have 165k on my rs and im in the process of boosting it. I got the comp. test done first and the numbers were real good. so i decided to go for it. It really just depends on the condition of your motor. You could even have a 50k motor and it might not be safe to boost if it was beaten to hell....
