Default 06 Accord Sedan . . . Great Changes

I don't know if many of you guys are very interested in the newer Accords but the 06 sedan V6 now has 244 horsepower and can be had with the 6 speed manual. That's a great thing considering I will never buy a V6 Honda with auto.

They also changed the taillight shape completely (finally) and went to LEDs. It's at Hondacars.com if anybody cares to see.

I am definately glad they redesigned the *** and made it bigger and sexier. So glad to see the 4 piece tail lights go as well. I did not like the 03's but I finally got used to them.
The engine is the same they just opened it up to get a little more power (marketing). The ridgelines will do the same in the next 2 years I would imagine.

Also I hear Honda is coming out with a V8. Can't wait and the new diesel engine for the civics. Also the new SI.
Honda is doing a lot of crap.
You can pick up the new 06 Accord catalouqe at your local Honda Dealer.

all red tail lights are ugly. they were ugly on the 05, they're ugly as LED's on the 06

ridgeline will still not sell as well as the toyota's and nissans unless there is a v8 in it -american buyers would rather have 8 cylinders, less power, and worse gas milege than 6 cylinders with the opposite

as far as i know, you're the only one. v8 -no. v10 yes (for the NSX replacement)

no more so than any other manufacturer, and none more than they've done in the past

I agree with you to a point. But then again everyone has an opinion.

As far as sales go the SI is good. I don't like civics so it doesn't affect me. I don't live in europe but as far as diesel goes I would rather not work on them and previously stated about civics.
But again it would be a changeup and from H standpoint a foot through the door before anyone else.

I am not too particular about all red but the design is better.

I have heard both about v8's not getting them and getting them but the sales would be better in US your are right about silly american waste products and V8's.

I would still like to drive a V8............WITH VTEC!

Honda is also building a jet engine a fully functioning robot that can walk up and down stairs.....backwards.

Honda is CONFIRMED to be debuting a V8 around 2010 in the RL and then in the Ridgeline. This is CONFIRMED by Motor Trend and is not a rumor. And yes, it will have VTEC.

Me and the wife should be picking up the new Civic when it comes out mainly because she wanted the last gen but with news of NAV in the new Civic we have decided to wait and get that instead.

V8 RL in 2010! Hell yes!

Do the LED's ever burn out? If so, how much to replace?

LEDs usually last longer than the car but I imagine you would replace the whole LED board if it stopped working. The spoiler LED bar costs about 200 from Honda so I imagine it would be about the same or a little less.

Honda V8..... I think it's a pipe dream. There have been rumors for a long time, but with the fuel milage concerns I don't think it will happen. Last Honda training I was at (May 2005) the official word was no V* and the NSX redesign was indefinitly postponed.... perhaps to be dropped or killed. The market for low milage high performance super cars is miniscule. The official rumor (if there is such a thing) is a Hybrid NSX replacement. Honda proved that you can combine performance with hybrid systems in the Accord Hybrid. Why build a hybrid NSX? two reasons... gas at less than 225 a gallon is gone. This is no hurrican shortage, no greedy oil companies, no overcharging.... it's simple supply and demand. The supply stays the same or drops, and the demand grows... prices go up. Look at Europe, the majority of cars there are small and economical.... Europe pays 2-3 times what we do for gas. Reason 2 for a hybrid NSX.... because they can.
