89 CRX Dx to 91 CRX Si...Wiring?
Okay, I blew my 89 crx Dx motor last week. I got a strong 91 Si from my friend who just did a Ls motor swap in his CRX. He gave me the motor and harness for $200. Now, all I have is the Si motor, mpfi, intake manifold and exhaust manifold. Here comes my questions...
1) Willl my distributor & altenator work on that motor? He said it would.
2) Isn't it like wiring a Dx to an Zc? And if so, then can anyone help on the wiring aspect with some advise on how to do it.
I think that's all my questions for the time being, i'm going to go out there and finish pulling my motor. But any suggestions or comments on this swap would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Daniel

Yes, they are interchangable.

for dx to si you need -----si-ecu /si-bistrib/ si-intake throttle body/and the motor .your dx distrib wont work- why? the dx distrib dont have the cps sensor ,the cylinder position sensor.hope this helps.use the link above for the wiring on the hybrid page.it helps to have a copy of the dx 1.5 and si 1.6 ecu diagram from the factory manual.
