You'd be better off with your stock tranny for boost than a B16.

I wouldn't trust a tranny.

im amazed this thread hasnt already turned into a flame fest.

some people say LS is better for turbo due to taller gears staying in boost longer than short ones (B16) and that less time spent shifting is more time spent accelerating.

there is a reason why moto gp riders have different gearing set ups for each different track and its because different gearing is better for different situations. in general, tall gears are good for top speed as long as you have the power to push them and short gears are good for acceleration. so if your just gonna be bombing around town and dont really care about gas mileage then a short geared tranny (B16, GSR, ITR) is good for your situation. if your gonna be on the freeway alot and you care as much as i do, living in cali, about gas mileage, then an LS transmission is probably good for your situation. If you absolutely must have the best of both worlds then pull out your check book and prepare to do some mix and match magic.

Its still a bit to early for the flame throwers and the suits. Yeah, trannies are scary as hell.
