Shane and I went to the 1/4 mile dragway in Darlington yesterday(a 3 hour trek ).....it was pretty fun!!
I think we bothed realized how much better a 1/4 mile strip can be all together. The track was so wide, and super grippy. Not to mention they actually used a sweeper machine to clean the strip, like they should. Usually its some kid with a broom.
We also got to watch some nice races. They were 3 crazy vettes there....and a couple of top fuel cars, but they had a hard time getting a good run and keeping it straight(it was just test & tune)

Shane ran the best time like always(he ran 3 runs)...but I still did pretty good. I got my best 1/8 mile.

heres MY best run driving the civic.

 

 

there was a civic dx with a type R motor and trans. he also had a LSD. He was runnin 9.5 in the 1/8 @74mph, and 14.9 in the 1/4 @ 98mph. he couldnt break 100 but it was damn close.

 

There is a car exactly like that in our area, but it was on the bottle. I have seen him run low 12's.

then he dropped a tranny on the track

maybe some of you guys from around here have seen it.

It's a red 5th gen hatchback with gutted interior and a carbon fiber front end.
