Honda dealership denied me any suggestions?
So I finally found what I need (
90-93 Acura Integra Rear Engine Bracket, P.N. 50827-SK7-020) and I know I can get it through the honda dealership because I've had friends get the same part from the same damn place...
but when I just called the guy totally denied me... I argued with him for about ten minutes and he wouldn't budge... (the nearest acura dealer is in sacramento 2 and half hours away...)
anyone have any suggestions or any ideas on where I could get this bracket? Online? from you personally? dealerships?
they said they couldn't get the part because they can't look up acura parts... but they can... and I know for sure they can...

The dealer should be able to get it. I just logged onto the Acura Interactive network and it shows as still avaliable and everything. Im not sure how much good Im going to be seeing as Im on the over side of the US but let me know if I can help.
I don't get what he denied and what the problem is. Meaning he says the part isn't available? The part is available but from an ACURA parts dept

No they cannot. While Acura is a front for higher-end Honda vehicles in the US, it is treated as a totally different car. Honda dealers are not going to be able to order Acura parts, and vise versa. Why didn't you just call an Acura dealer instead of Honda? That would have been an easy fix. Instead you want to rant, rave, and bitch and call people stupid that are just doing their job and telling you the truth. Do you think that dealer is involved in a conspiracy against you getting that part? No.
You would not walk into the Acura dealer for a fuel injector for a 93 Civic VX and you wouldn't walk into a Honda dealer to order an 91 Integra engine mount. Common sense.

The parts usually end up coming from the same warehouse. When you order a part from Acura, what does it say on the packaging? I've ordered tons of parts from both Honda and Acura dealerships and all of them said Honda on the wrapper. Like somebody said up top, you just have to find somebody willing to work with you. I have had the people at my local Honda dealer order me a few parts which can only be bought through Acura. It's not going to be in stock and not going to be in their computer parts database, but if they call their local supply warehouse they can order it from them.

Yes, all the parts are made by Honda. Acura only exists as a name. And yes, calls could be made and the parts could be ordered by the dealer technically. But come on, if you can go to a Honda dealer, you can go to an Acura dealer. Less headaches for everyone.

HONDA DEALERS CANNOT LOOK UP ACURA PARTS.
ACURA DEALERS CANNOT LOOK UP HONDA PARTS.
There is no discussion about it. I've worked at both and know the limitations. I know most parts come in the same Honda box, but unless the Acura part happens to cross over to a Honda part, it cannot be done. It's the same deal with ordering JDM, CDM, or any other market parts. It cannot be looked up in the computer, even if the part number is known to be good. Trust me, I've tried every way possible to get CTR pistons, even from Canada, but they won't do it.

well considering my friends got the parts from the honda dealer several different times... i know they are two different things but they still got the parts for my friends so I was just wondering... and besides the fact there isn't an acura dealer in my town dipshit... closest one is 2 and a half hours away...
go talk **** in a chat room... don't waist my time...
was just seeing if there was an easier way but I guess you need to get hard on people to make yourself feel tough... way to go tough guy
the reason most manufacturers with a hi and low brand of cars wont gt you the other brands parts is because they get charged more. most manufacturers want to keep the brands seperate and they see that as taking business from the other brand. i can look up audi parts at work but i get charged 10% more when i order them becasue i am a VW dealer
