1997 Accord EX Radio Code
Can someone provide me with the radio code for this vehicle. Serial number is:
1HGCE6672VA012255
If you need more, I tried the 1 and 6 button procedure and it provided no results. Maybe a different way to acquire the info from this model's radio?

I'm betting the dealer will tell you to physically come in and show proof you own the radio.

Well, I'm going to find someone to help pull the radio - not a project I wish to tackle with my wife's car.
Otherwise, one dealership wanted $150 to do it...obviously labor for pulling the radio. I had just hoped someone on this board either knew of another way to get the serial info from the radio...or had a code to give.

I have a '97 EX-R.
Honestly it will take you about 15 minutes to pull out your stereo.
I just changed out my CD player recently and it was a lot easier than I was expecting.
Here is some help:

If you are in Canada then EX-R is our American EX.
Only the code specifically for that radio will work and the only way to find the code is to ask the dealership and provide them with that serial number.

get me the serial number and I will give you the code, look in the glove box for a small tag with a number on it,some dealers put the serial tag or the code there.
bill-71SS,
the serial number is at the top of the thread...i'll also check the glove box for any additional info. part of the problem is not getting owner's manual with this used car...as I've heard it would've had the bloody code.

When I lost my code, I went to the dealer and gave them my VIN number. They provided me with the code. They do not need to pull the radio out, that's just a scam to get labor out of you.

I heard that only works if the VIN has been entered into some sort of database when the vehicle is/was delivered to the customer.

Just got off the phone with Santa Monica Honda parts dept. They said they DO NOT give radio codes to the general public. Only to body shops that are "in their network". Sounds like that's a new thing....guess there were too many radios coming in with illegitimate paperwork.
Added: Just got off the phone with the service dept. and they said that you can come in and show proof of ownership, show your ID and the radio serial number and they'll give it to you then. Shows you how inadequate the communication goes between two different departments.
