plan on getting piaa bulbs for my honda civic....which one fits on mines?
plan to get PIAA Super Plasma Bulbs for my civic. i think the brightest on is the H4, but i want to know whether this application will fit on my car. I have superwhites, but want something more becuz the superwhites dont look much diiferent, but i heard PIAAs are the closest and best to HID look like BMW, Lexus, Benz.....somebody let me know which application it is. THANKS!
Not sure about which bulbs but its listed in your owner's manual. Two of my friends have PIAA's on their 99 Civics and its a waste of money. Its a bit brighter on high beams and the color is clearer but its a ripoff. They only have a 3 month warranty and both guys have lost both bulbs within 6 months of buying them. Spend your money elsewhere.
H4 fits. Buy the 80w X 80w superwhite bulbs. I bought mine from Options for less than $60. They have as much light and look the same as Merc. Benz headlights. I sat beside the 500 convertible and my lights were same whiteness and brightness as the MB HID's. I have had them installed since 12/99 and never once went out yet (knock on wood). They have the same purplish (not blue) tint in the housing when on and are nice due to the higher wattage. No problems with heavy load from higher wattage either. The Super Plasmas are rainbow looking at lowbeam and have the blueish color in high beam. Heard not a thing like HID look.
just picked up the PIAA H4 bulbs 80/80 superwhite like you guys said and waiting for them to arrived, ordered them from http://www.optautos.com hopefully it will be the lightning that i am looking for. Bought superwhites originally for $40 and look very slightly better than stock. hopefully these will actually be noticeable. Any other opinions?
