Cleaning PCV valve
I have cleaned my PCV valve in some degreaser, so now it looks like new. I tried to blow the valve with my mouth in both directions. In the direction from the engine to the intake manifold (IM), I can blow as much as I can ant the valve stays still open (I assume this is the direction of the gases). When I blow in the opposite direction (from IM to the engine), with low blowing (IE low pressure) the valve is open, but when I blow just little bit more, the valve closes.
Is this valve OK? I mean, should the valve close immediatelly with the low blowing or there should be some threshold to close the valve (ie like in my case)?
PS: my friend has rebuilt his Prelude 2.2VTEC and had still problems with oil consumption. I cleaned his PCV valve and his consumption nearly stopped! So I wanted to try it too.

the test for it is with it on the car and running.. pinch the hose from it to the IM and if it clicks, it's fine..
sometimes you can just shake it with it off the car and here it though, which means the same thing.. never put my mouth on one to blow on it..
