EF? what does that stand for?

Default EF? what does that stand for?

Sorry guys.. I feel like a real fool asking this, But what does EF stand for? I know what JDM, USDM etc are but I cant figure out EF?? Thanks

dont know what EF means, SI probly means Sport Injection. EF....? probly just for chassie coding.

EF is the chassie code for the car a 90 civc hatch from japland would be a EF9 and same year 90 civic hatch si would be a ED7. just the chassie code

Off topic, but yes Si = Sports Injection. Little i always meant injection for honda..... LX-i, SE-i, Prelude Si, etc That's why before the CRX Si there was just the Civic S. Back on topic....I also think that the chassis designations themselves don't meant anything, some engineer probably just picked them.

So does that mean a US CRX SI is not considered an EF?

correct. it is not an EF. and neither is a civic.

it's an ed9 same as europe

Several terms you should all know...

EF
The chassis code for the 88-91 civic/crx models in Japan. Some people like to refer to all 88-91 as EFs though.

ED
The chassis code for the 88-91 civic models in the United States.

EE
The chassis code for the 88-91 crx models in the United States.
