I was dropping my b16 in my 90 crx si yesterday and everything was going fine until the back bracket to the rear mount didn't line up...

so I called my friend and he told me that I need a new bracket because obd1 swaps rear brackets don't match up to the mount...

I looked on ebay and I saw people selling 94-01 rear brackets and they said their for b16 b18 and b20 swaps is this what I need or do I need a different bracket for my rear mount? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!! I'm about to just sell my car I'm so frustrated and I need to get to schoooooooooool to learn how to become a man...

so you got a complete obd1 b16a swap? is it hydro trans w/ a bracket attached?

w/ the hasport mounts (should come w/ instructions) and the above parts, you still need the 90-93 teg rear mount. you then enlarge the 2 bottom holes to fit the larger bolts of the hydro trans.

 

yes sir it was but I threw a cable on there cuz thats what my car is set up for but I am using the same bracket

but yea so what should I get?

is it time for customization

approximately 48$ from your local honda dealer.

btw, w/c mount kit are you using? if hasport, mounting OBD1 engines requires you to change the driver's side mount as well.

here's a pic btw regarding the driver's side mount being replaced using a 90-93 teg part.

note the difference

in my hand is the 90-93 teg bracket while the one on the block is the ODB1 bracket w/c am replacing.

 

omg the honda dealer here is soooooo god damn dumb... they said they couldn't look it up and that I needed to go to the nearest acura dealer in sacramento... wtf I argued with him for ten minutes... dumbshit...

 

well technically it is an ACURA part not a Honda part. The Honda dealership won't stock any ACURA parts now will they?

 

well my friends go through them all the time soooo... I don't see why I couldn't do the same when they similar and are part of the same dealership here and in alot of places but thanx anyways

yup I accidentally went to my honda dealership and they told me to head down the road to acura. haha.

 

thats weird why did so many people here get that part and other parts through honda then?

WOW, I see these used for more than that.. Wish I knew..

 

If your acura part # transfers over to a honda part, meaning used on another honda vehicle, then they can sell it to you, but might not stock it. If the acura part # isn't used on any other honda vehicle, they send you down the road to acura dlr.
