goto Ralphy @ DRT handsdown one of the best tuners out there ... I only trust him to tune my cars ... and I'm a good tuner, but he's better.
He's at AEM right now in CA but will be back early next week. He's a tuner for Chrome and on our last dynoday made way more power for every participant who came in tuning Chrome.

i think the short list you got there is all you need. only other one i could think of would be turbo people. top of the list IMO would be DRT.

ralphy had also tune my cars and was able to bring decent power out of them but he blew my last motor. he tuned the afr 12.5 in boost. he knew it was a stock block sohc. he also knew the mods. he also knew it was a daily driver. as an experiance tuner he suppose to know that 12.5 is to lean. the following week i ran at e-town, my #4 cylinder popped because of a cracked ringland. if i knew then what i know now, i would of asked him to rich'n it up.

thats a pretty low blow at ralphy, dude ...
you're saying your ringland blew because of 12.5 a/f ratios, I think it blew because it was a stock motor that was boosted quite a bit, something had to give. I remember him spending countless time on the dyno to clean up your maps that someone else made .. at 11pm at night on dyno day.
to the un-educated customer who expects a stock motor to last forever while boosted

very true, i've seen cast pistons come apart with a/f's of 11.0

he rushed tuning my car quite a bit since he had to go, less than an hr of tuning. he also said he didnt touch ignition maps just reduced the fuel because a/f was rich. #4 sparkplug melted, the other 3 was extremly white. you can call me uneducated, names or whatever. the bottom line is the motor ran lean in boost under heavy load and popped in a week. i belive my car is much heavier than the rollers on the dyno. $600 of repair in high cost of living in nyc bymyself is a low blow to the customer dude. btw i never said i expected a stock block boosted motor to last forever.

beg? you must be still 15. LOL............................ more like trying to do everything at once. ralphy is a good tuner, gotta catch him when hes not so busy. he manage to pull 200whp out of my oem bottom end (built head) ls/vtec all motor with a vafc. i guess nobody can be perfect all the time. his rep still proceeds him. i moved on, ive learned alot in the process. but i feel there are better tunners in the tristate area that can put more effort in a customers car. i think majority of people here that posted are good buddys with ralphy. i'm just a customer that knows him and i'm just posting up my experiance.

something just doesnt add up, after dyno day your car was runnign perfect and made the most hp you ever saw, it was even smoking a bit and we all told you to take it easy on the motor since it was stock. if I remember you had a dial-a-bomb controlling your boost. So you subsequently went to Ralphy to tune, he barely spent time tuning but you're claiming he leaned out your maps and your ringlands cracked ???
dude get real, sounds like you pumped up the boost and ran out of injectors ...
either way, it's done ... just dont care for people with that attitude after how much i saw ralphy go out of his way to help you ... you went to some guy to tune your motor on the street for $50 buks then you came to a real shop to get your car tuned and ralphy spent a few hours tuning so now you try ot give him a bad name ??? I feel sorry for the next tuner who you goto ... think you should be blacklisted to all the tuner shops in ny/nj
so they're all cautious with you.
btw, all the other shops know ralphy, some even consult wiht him on more technical tuning questions, so they all know he wouldn;t do somethign like that.
I'm done arguing.
