Default Big power vw 1.8t

Thought this might interest some of you. Not too many people really pushing limits with these motors.

Much smaller aftermarket. Standalone is the only real solution for making big power, inability to rev to the sky etc. And thes short and long blocks sell for a good penny more than what i see b series go for

If that engine needs that much boost to make that power, then it's not very efficient. Still impressive power, but show us pictures when it blows it should go out with a real bang

3.6 bar jeez

definatly awesome. its cool to see he is using a full race manifold (i know how little options there are for vw turbo manifolds). also nice to see its on stock displacement and not overbored.

toss that bad boy into a mk2

Its nice power. Though I sure there is more power in that motor since its built. Plus that was on an engine dyno.

Here is a 550whp on a totally stock block. http://forum.vwsport.com/viewtopic.php?t=20116

The motor wound up putting out 716bhp today at 4x lbs of boost. It is a shitton of boost, but it's a shitton of power too imo. I know how far ou guys have come(i remember 450-475whp race cars lol bergenholtz and kubo back in the day)

Actually, the BSFC is about .47, which I find surprisingly good. Boost is 40psi. Cams are much shorter than anything you guys use since I stayed with stock hydro lifters and couldn't run it too high.

I made it off the dyno without blowing it up. Made about 200 pulls

oh, and it has a Honda TPS that someone on this board was kind enough to sell to me

Nice power, but I guess our minds have been dulled by the 700+ and 800+ WHP cars floating around here.

600whp with drop in pistons and rods on an unstroked 1.8l is pretty damn impressive if you ask me. Even with all the big boys runnign around making huge power.
