where did you get your zc? im lookin for one too, the crank sensor has something to do with telling your ecu when your #1 piston is at the top dead center or something like that, i know its important and i know if you need a new one, prepare to get reamed
OH yea, i wouldnt "pick" your motor, it is SOOOO much easier to DROP the motor & trans at the same time then raise the front of your car and slide the motor out(trans attached)

im just sayin, the EASIEST way would be to drop them both, but you dant have to, you can pick the motor, u might need to pry it off the motor with a crowbar though (trust me though, it would be alot easier to just drop them both then put your zc on your tranny and raise them back up into the engine bay with the picker) yea, ive got the a6 tranny in my 88si too, they're nice arent they

not sure where the best place to pry it would be though, are you sure you got all the bolts out?

always double check that you took all the bolts out and make sure that the like metal protector at the bottom is taken off because that will keep the tranny from coming off (as I've experienced... lol) the from the front have a nice flat head screw driver and a sledge and just give it a couple nice thwacks! after you've tried to pull it apart with your own strength first thogh

just pull on both sides at the same time this should help create a crease and then use the screw driver and sledge all the way around the tranny... but do it evenly its a bitch but a couple of buddies and you shouldn't have too much trouble

Take the motor and trans out at the same time. you should probably put in a new clutch anyways and resurface the flywheel. Bolt the tranny back to the engine and lift them both out.

Timing Belt = 88 Prelude Si 2.0
The DC header will work fine, the runners might not align perfect but its nothing major. If you can, rent or barrow an Engine Hoist from Pepboys/Autozone/Napa. They only require a deposit of the tools worth and you can keep it for up to 2 weeks.

My advice is treat your motor right and it will more than definitely return the favor. ZCs are stout motors when treated properly.

welll all u got to do to wire it is just take to wire out of your si clip cilp for the dizzy one with 7 wires take out the 2 b/g wires run them over to your cps.what tranny r u using?what ecu?your swap should go in on stock mounts and u can use stock shift linkge.u can use your stock copmputer but my advice would be to get a pm7.
dohczccrxsi is right if u treat it right i will be good running motor.

You undo all the tranny bolts and starter bolts and yank it off. Not really complicated at all

Sounds like your doing the timing belt while the engine is standing alone. Jam something in the flywheel while your tightening your belt tensor, or your timing will be off every time. I have learned this the hard way and stripped the tensor bolt out of the block. I am in the process of rethreading it.
