Legend GS twin pot caliper upgrade?
Curious if anyone has used the Legend GS calipers on their NSX. People put both calipers on the same bracket on Integras and Civic EX models. We get the Legend caliper for a civic because its more common and cheaper, and the pistons are a little larger, but NSX calipers weigh less. Anyone ever say screw unsprung weight and put on the Legend calipers for larger pistons? Does it help braking at all?
No offense, but why would anyone use a Legend caliper on an NSX? The caliper is lighter and is engineered specifically for the NSX. Better braking would be better achieved with stickier tires and more agressive pads.
the NSX pistons are 36/40mm whilst the Legend pistons are 38/42mm so that might help. I'm not saying it was enginnered for this car, and most hybrid stuff on honda-tech isnt, but it might work. Just wondering if the results would help.

Bigger piston does not mean better braking. NSX has more rear biased brake system than a Legend due to its mid-engine configuration. In the NA2 brakes, Honda went with even smaller piston in the front(34/40), probably to create more rear bias. If you go with bigger front pistons, you may run the risk of locking the front more which is not optimal.
I know NSX brake system may not be the biggest or the baddest of all production cars but you gotta think that Honda has to have put "some" thought into the system. I gotta tell you, everyone who's ridden in my car always is amazed about how well my car stops and all I have is NA2 brakes + Cobalt pads. The only gripe I have is that I go through rotors
