Oil specs for 4th gen...how much oil (search yourself, could not find answer)...
Can someone look up in a Helms or something the specs for how many quarts I should put in there after I drain it? Or at least post a link to an old thread? (I freakin' searched forever and couldn't find a straight answer). Thanks.
Well my '93 Accord LX coupe holds ~3.5 quarts before it goes over the "full" dip stick indicator hole.
Drained everything out and let it drip for at least 30 minutes before fillin' 'er up. Put 4 full quarts in and let it settle for a few minutes, but the oil level was over the top indicator hole by about a centimeter. For those like me who obsess over things like that, I drained almost a half-quart to get it just under.
...or you coulda just looked up the oil specs from a manual...thought I'd post results for those of you like me who don't have one.

Yeah I found some weird british PDF that says the same...that's w/ the oil filter filled. I was checking my levels before I started the car, so I'm pretty sure the level will drop a little once that filter fills up...by about .25 quarts or so.
if u replace the filter as well put 4 qts and close the hood ,i have being doing that for years never had any issues ...Keep in mind u will use a little oil before ur next oil change

I agree, changed a 4 gen today and with a filter change 4 q puts it right on the money. It will look more until you start engine and let the filter fill. Don't fill your filter before putting it on. Just use a little oil to wet the seal so it doesn't catch and seat wrong.
Book says 3.7 but that is without filter change.
